I recently had a client ask, “Will there be homes available for sale during the fall season?” The answer is yes, and likely a little more inventory than we had this summer. We’re very subject to seasonal patterns here in Greater Cleveland, and we’ve been adding inventory gradually to our market all summer long. It may not feel like it, but that’s because we started from an extremely low number.
We’ll see more homes listed in September, but inventory will probably dwindle again in October due to the fall and winter seasons. If you’re looking for a home and have been frustrated that you can’t find one, your largest pool of inventory is available right now in August and September. At 1:30 in the video above, you can view a chart that shows how our inventory has changed from September 2020 until now. Our ultimate dip was a 29% decrease in February 2021, and we’re at the height of inventory at present.
If you’re hoping to buy this year, now is the best time to go out and look at homes. If you have any questions about buying or real estate in general, call or email me. I would love to help you.
