The 2010 Games and the Host City-Lexington, KY
 
 
The podcast of the June Community Forum for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games is now available online. Listen here to learn more about the progress of the World Games 2010 Foundation and the plans for downtown Lexington.   
 
The Panel included Lexington Mayor Jim Newberry and Krista Greathouse, the WEG liaison from the city, as well as Jamie Link, Foundation CEO, and Mary Wathen, Foundation Director of Community Relations and Protocol.
 
 
Lexington community members, business owners, and reporters all posted questions to the panel. Topics discussed included transportation of horses, athletes and spectators, progress on Games and Spotlight Lexington projects; and the overall impact the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games will leave on Kentucky. Everyone on the panel agreed the Games provide an unprecedented opportunity to promote the city and encourage visitors to return.

Lastly, the panel discussed the official Trade Show of the Games, located on the Kentucky Horse Park during the 16 days of competition. Link reported that more than 170 vendors have already reserved booth spaces and the Foundation is actively seeking to fill 300 spaces within the Trade Show venue.
